What Is the Special Ending in "Killer Instinct" for SNES?

"Killer Instinct" is an arcade fighting game that was ported to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, or SNES. After you beat the game's one-player mode with any given character, that character's ending plays. There is also a special ending, however, that you can only obtain by completing "1 Player" mode under specific circumstances.

In order to unlock the special ending, you must complete the game's one-player mode on the highest difficulty level without using any continues. To do this, scroll down to the "Options" option on the game's main menu and press the "A" button. Highlight the "Difficulty" option and press the right arrow on the controller's d-pad until the difficulty is set at six stars. Press the "B" button to return to the main main. Highlight the "1 Player" option and press the "A" button. Defeat every enemy in 1 Player mode to unlock the special ending.

When you defeat the game's final boss, Eyedol, without using a continue, you are rewarded with the following text: "You are victorious! You've done it all and are ready to battle the best KI players. You beat Eyedol with one hand behind your back, and you crushed everyone else. You can't get any better, you are now the sensei. The only thing left is to give to the less fortunate and teach your skills to the pathetic, wimpy, clueless KI beginners. You will go down in the record books, become a hero, a legend, be envied by all, people will fear you, people will love you, people will want to be like you, you will reign as the true KI champion forever! Or at least until... Killer Instinct II."

After the special ending text, you will be rewarded with a special unlock code. The text on the unlock code screen is as follows: "Well done, you are indeed a true warrior! You are now allowed to posses Killer Instinct's most valuable secret! To become Eyedol: Choose Cinder, hold > & press WP, WK, FP, MK, MP, FK, at VS. page."

In order to use this special unlock code, select "2 Player" from the game's main menu to navigate to the VS page. Highlight the "Cinder" character and press and hold the "Start" button. While holding the "Start" button, press "L, R, X, B, Y, A." With code input properly, Eyedol will be selected instead of Cinder.
