How to Unlock in "MAG" for PS3

"MAG" is a first-person shooter released for the PlayStation 3 in 2010. "MAG" is a multiplayer game pitting up to 256 players against each other in online battles. Like most first-person shooters, "MAG" offers a wide variety of unlockables for your character. Some of these unlockables are cosmetic, such as ribbons and medals, only used to show your accomplishments to other players, while other unlockables include additional game modes and the ability to change your faction. All unlockables are earned in-game by completing specific tasks during a match.

Difficulty:Moderately Easy1

Unlock the 256 player Domination game mode by reaching Level 8 and the Squad Leader game mode by reaching Level 15. Levels are earned by defeating your opponents during a match and completing in-game objectives, such as capturing a location. At the end of a match, your experience is calculated and, if enough experience is gained, you level up.

2

Unlock the Change Faction option by reaching Level 70, the maximum level you can obtain. This option lets you change your faction at any time when you are Level 70. Each faction in "MAG" uses a different set of weapons and skills; by changing factions, you can participate as another side in the game at the expense of losing all weapons and skills with your current faction.

3

Unlock ribbons by performing specific in-game tasks. For example, to earn the Combat Assault ribbon, you must kill 30 enemies during a match with an assault rifle. Ribbons are given to you at the end of a match and are not cumulative, meaning you must perform the required action during one match and you can earn ribbons multiple times in each match.

4

Unlock medals by performing specific in-game tasks. For example, killing 1,000 enemies with the assault rifle earns you the Assault Master Specialist ribbon. The requirements for the medals are cumulative and can be completed across multiple matches. Unlike ribbons, you can only earn a medal once.

5

Unlock weapons and skills by gaining skill points. Each time you earn a new level, you receive a varying number of skill points. Skill points can be used in the Armory menu any time you are not in a match.

All ribbons and medals can be viewed in the Barracks section of the main menu any time you aren't in a game.

After changing your faction, your level is reset back to Level 1 and you are denied access to Domination and Squad Leader until you reach the appropriate levels. Additionally, your weapons and skills are reset and you must unlock them again for the new faction.
