In "Pokemon SoulSilver," Nintendo Wi-Fi events give players access to some of the game's most prized and legendary Pokemon. One Nintendo event, held on August 2010, awarded players the Enigma Stone item. The Enigma Stone, when given to a man in the Pewter City museum, summons the powerful Latias. If you missed the Nintendo event, the only way to get an Enigma Stone is via an Action Replay cheat code.
Latios and its twin, Latias, first appeared in the "Pokemon Sapphire" and "Ruby" games. Both Latios and Latias have the dragon and psychic types. They have many similar abilities, differing mostly in appearance. Latios has a white and blue body, and he can levitate to dodge all ground attacks. His female counterpart, Latias, has a pink and white body, as well as the ability to converse telepathically with humans and other Pokemon.
To get the Enigma Stone needed to unlock Latios, insert an Action Replay cheat device into the Nintendo DS. At the New Code screen, enter "94000130 FCFF0000" on the first line and "62111880 00000000" on the second. Type "B2111880 00000000" and "20009E4C 00000003" on the next two lines. On the last two lines, enter "10009E50 00000218" and "D2000000 00000000." Save the code and start playing "Pokemon SoulSilver."
Before you can use the code to get the Enigma Stone, you first need to help a child called the Copycat Girl. She has lost her doll, and she wants you to look for it. The girl lives in Saffron City, so visit her house and talk to her to start the hunt for the doll. Ride your bike or fly to Vermilion City. Enter the building next to the bike shop. Speak with the man to receive the girl's doll, then return the doll to the girl. When you leave her house, a man named Steven appears and tells you about Latios and Latias. He then returns to the museum in Pewter City.
With the Action Replay code active, approach any Pokemon store. Hold down the "L" and "R" buttons at the same time as you enter the store. This activates the code, and a man appears inside the store. Talk to him and he hands you the Enigma Stone. Go to Pewter City and speak with the people inside. Give Steven the Enigma Stone. When you leave the building, Latias appears directly in front of you. Talk to Latias to start a battle. Capture Latias by damaging her until her health bar turns red, and then throw a master ball or an ultra ball at her.
