Game Tips for "Tangled"

"Tangled" for the Nintendo Wii features the continued adventures of Rapunzel and Flynn, the main characters from the 2010 Disney movie "Tangled." The game is easier if you follow some basic hints, such as paying attention to butterflies, using the "hold hand" feature often, and talking to everyone you meet.

Butterflies indicate that you are in an area where Rapunzel can use her hair to reach new areas. Press the "A" button when you see butterflies to initiate Rapunzel's action. Rapunzel uses her hair to swing across trees and climb walls among other actions. You can also press the "A" button to make Rapunzel use her hair if you hear Rapunzel or Flint say, "I think I can swing across," or "Use your hair, blondie."
Press any direction on the directional pad to use the "Hold Hand" action. It forces the computer-controlled character to follow you closely. Using the "Hold Hand" action is useful because the computer tends to make its character wander aimlessly. Additionally, you can press the "Z" button to switch control of the character you are using. For example, if you are using Rapunzel, press "Z" to assume control of Flint.
Pay attention to your surroundings in every environment and collect items as you go. Seemingly useless objects such as large mushrooms and vines can be used to jump higher and climb cliffs respectively. Use Flint's dagger to cut down bushes that block your path. Cutting down bushes and reaching new areas is useful because they often reveal hidden treasure and life-boosting items.
Press the "A" button in front of villagers to speak with them. Many of the villagers have useful hints to share or need help with simple tasks. These tasks are usually accomplished in mini-games such as breaking barrels. You can get life-boosting items from the villagers when you complete these games.
